The worst thing about all this? The other buildings that are affected are mostly academic departments, and we all KNOW that the faculty here spend their summers in Maine, so only the library staff and the departmental AAs are suffering. *grrrrrr....*
We *might* have air conditioning restored by early afternoon. They think they'll bring in a refrigerated truck to substitute until they can fix the chiller.
Oh, ICK! I haven't been outside yet (just about to leave for work), but I know it's bad, 'cause my windows all fogged up. Good luck! I can't imagine how much a refrigerated truck will help, but I hope it does.
you should grab my mom over at the friend's meeting house where she's outside with the swarthmore rec. day camp. go jump in a pool!! or go check on my new a/c!
we're dealing with that here as well. We must have lost power with the storms yesterday and things are slowly coming back. we came into no lights no ac, but woking computers and phones. Our windows don't open.
People are asking to borrow my scented hand lotion. *ick*

AC's breaking in libraries seems to be somewhat of a trend, if I'm to believe the LJ communities and listservs.
