Need more words

Which is a funny thing to say about the English language, since we have more words than any other. But saying that my husband is allergic to soy (and anise and any kind of dander) doesn't really convey his problem. He's MILDLY allergic to all of these things -- they give him headaches (except for the soy, which makes him itch). I need some kind

Easy! He is sensitive to soy! …alhthough that might fall into the “stupid” category, I dont know.

Hearing impaired/half deaf, I dunno. I think half deaf gets the point across.
