technical difficulties

Does anybody know how/what program i can use to make a slideshow with music (that makes a movie I can put on a DVD)?  Like, I know how to make a powerpoint, but I was looking for something more like an iMovie (is that what it's called?).  The only time I did one of those was for a class in college and we used macs.  I have a PC so I wasn't sure how

I believe that both iPhoto AND iMovie will work for that. For a PC though....I'm a little clueless. Possibly we could work out something where you use my computer??

Gads, there is a program, because the people with the PC laptops were using it...(checks Matt's computer)...Windows Movie Maker?
