nutty as a fruitcake?
I'm amused that I grew up in such a sheltered environment that an "exotic" fruit in my life was an occasional pineapple or watermelon (because apples, oranges, and bananas are the only other fruits out there, right?)! Who knew that the fruits that would become my favorite would be mango, guava, and the newly discovered pomegranate? LOL ( Read more... ) -

I got it! At long last, I got it!! It's not in the greatest of shape, but I'm looking at it as a "project" to work on in the coming months. I'd like to restore it and have it properly tuned. It's a bright sunshiney day!
OUCH! Ow ow ow owwwwww!!!!! Apparently 3 hours in the sun is all it takes for me to turn from a snowman to a lobster!! Add to that 2 days in a row of tennis - and I hurt from the inside out! ...aaaaand I'm going to do it all again today! :)

Many have heard me talk about this, and I finally thought to locate it on youtube.
This came out in '86 and is what inspired me to learn the piano... specifically for to learn this song. I began lessons later that year and have been playing ever since (although not lately). And this song is now permanently embedded in my muscle-memory. :)
