The paramedic patched up Chris Parker and the police took him away, still silent. Thornton followed them into town after thanking Starsky (and Hutch, although the latter hardly noticed) and telling them he’d let them know as soon as he learned anything.

Starsky then prodded the paramedic to check out Hutch, while he hovered worriedly behind him.

Starsky and Hutch go undercover at a mountain resort to help an old friend of Captain Dobey uncover the mystery behind two brutal murders. Other stuff happens.

Sure, happy to post it, and any others you want up in the future. Just finished reading it, by the way. You captured all the fear and the hot of them first being together beautifully. I think Hutch almost killed poor Starsky with the kiss of Other (trying not to spoilerage, here). The confusion and bewilderment, ah, loved it. Also, what a hot scene or two! You have a real flair for the build-up. I'm still looking for your ASJ one of these days:) - but I'm loving your work here in S&H. What else have you written in?

Thanks! I do loves me some build up, that's a fact. :) I'm glad you enjoyed it. They love each other so much it's hard to remember that I'm writing a first time m/m scene that's GOT to be awkward.
(I'll be sure to let you know when I post some AS&J although it will be gen! I've never been able to slash them. No idea why that is)
I've written in HP (only one pairing, of a fairly high potential squick factor, and only slash) and Man From UNCLE (that was my first active fandom and I've done slash and gen). I'm working on a S&H/MFU crossover now (as well as some shorter S&H ones that I hope I can finish soon).

Oh, Dolores! I didn't see that coming. This was a fantastic story. The plot was tight and interesting, and the relationship between S&H was so well-developed! I'm glad I gave myself time to finish this, because I wouldn't have been able to stop even if I was on a schedule.

You have a real gift for dialogue. It was perfectly done for every character. Thank you for taking the time to share this!

Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed this. What a load off it was to've finished such a long story (now I just have to finish the damn vampire Snarry and I can come back here and do some episode tags that're kind of on the back burner - I'm working on HP but my mind is really still with S&H).

While you know I'm looking forward to the vampire Snarry, I think you should write what you feel like writing. If your mind is in S&H instead of S/H, why not indulge? Then it will be fun to return to S/H again.

That's my $.02, anyway. I'm glad you share all your fandoms with us! (I am very, very curious about the Man from Uncle/S&H fic. I think I've only seen it once.)

I only very recently joined the Starsky & Hutch lj community, I found it in there during my reading of the archives. After I read it the first time I bookmarked it, and I reread it yesterday in preparation for posting the link at my recs page. :)

Thanks so much! That bit, I wrote way early in the fic, before I even knew where I was going with it, but it struck me as so true that I just left it there, floating, and wrote the fic around it, knowing it would work whenever and wherever it found its place in the story. I'm so glad it worked like that for you too. :)

I'm on my second read of this story and thought I would let you know how much I LOVED it!!! The crime story was great, but the dialogue of s& H was right on target. I like how you had Hutch evading Starsky's questions until Starsky was right in his face, asking why he didn't want him. Their getting together seemed very natural for them.

Okay - you got me here:

Suddenly Starsky sighed. “Jeez, Hutch. Dolores.”

Hutch looked at him.

“Just cuz I don’t speak Spanish doesn’t mean I don’t know what dolores means.

Help me out here because I didn't know Dolores actually "means" something. What does it mean? And yes, you can totally laugh at my ignorance. I won't be insulted, but I just gotta know!

Dolores means sad. :) (Or, to be more specific, the name was originally based on the word doloroso, which means sad).

LOL. I was afraid it was a sex thing that everyone learns when you are 12 and it bypassed me! Aw, I like that it means sad. It's a nice touch. Poor Hutch. At least he isn't sad anymore. I re-found this story while surfing, but I just noticed it was reccd on the Crack Van. Congrats!!
