I worked on the Ghost and Coffin yesterday
The Ghost worked well. The new elbows joints I made give it more natural movement, and the shoulder joints seem to be holding. Once the liquid nails had 24 hours to set up properly it holds fast.
The fishing line was slowly sanding itself to shreds as it moved through the eye bolt. I replaced it with string for testing but need to come up with a better solution. I may try a small pulley, but they can snag the line and have caused major problems in the past. Maybe tougher line?
I got the pipe fittings I needed, I just need to cut the conduit to finish the cross bracing.
I picked up some house paint for the ghost (it won't eat into the foam). So I will work on painting it up tonight and tomorrow.
I still need to pick up some fabric for the shroud. Some black and grey fabric, shear and shredded, muslin maybe?
I got the bottom half of the coffin sides done. It is ugly, but it is meant to be. ;)
I should be able to finish up the basic structure by Thursday. Then work on the animation prop.
I may still have a lot of old wood left. I may make another small coffin for my "Dorthy" prop.
I figure the more I make the better and faster at it I will become. And you can't have too many. ;)
