I got the coffin hammered together.
I am not to happy about how some of the angles turned out, one corner is really bad, but it is prop and does not need to be perfect.
I used a electric nail gun to put it together and the tiny nails do not hold well. I will need to reinforce it with larger nails or screws. It doesn't need to be perfect, but it does need to hold up to rough handling during the off season.
I need to add some rope handles and a lid hinge and it should be finished. :)
After that it is rig up some kind of animation effect. I don't think the motor I got will be able to lift the lid well, but I should be able to rig something with a skeleton arm reaching out. (note: I will have to add a hole for a power cord.)
Random thought:
If I every need another hobby project I could always make doll sized coffins and sell them on etsy.
