J told me that he would have lamb butter as part of his Polish Easter tradition. However, his Italian side totally approves of the tiramisu. Or rather, I totally approve of the tiramisu. I'm sure PJ's family will appreciate it as well.

by lamb butter - you mean something similar to those butter molds of lambs you can now by in your grocer's freezer? hmm - that's very interesting. Did his family have their own molds, because as far as i know, the ones you can buy at the grocery store are a relatively new-ish innovation.

thanks for your vote of confidence!

Hey Kit,
i was amused how everything came around, and that the tiramisu actually went over okay, so thanks. Anyways, i've seen some lamb cakes covered in shredded coconut, but in fact, the way that my family has always made the cake (and the one linked in the photo) is actually made by using a pastry bag with a star-shaped tip and then individually piping each little puff of "wool" until the lamb cake is covered. Quite a long, but fun and messy ordeal. Matte covering the cake with frosting and sprinkling with coconut would be significantly less time consuming. There are also many springtime-y cakes which call for shredded coconut, so that could be another reason for the spike in sales. :) -l
