In Baghdad is the first time he tastes the word. Gives himself leave to think about it. His dick gets hard when he's thinking about making Nate coffee in the mornings, and eventually Brad gets off on the thought of kissing him in a kitchen. Their kitchen.
Yes! This! I am happy knowing he fulfilled his dreams! (Fic | GK | distractions) LOL
I'm always so impressed with your talent for pacing and this is not exception. It builds quietly and the tension is nearly palpable. Flawless and beautifully mastered. Well done!
You have some of the best dialog in all of GK fandom. A lot of fics do dialog decently, but the men talk like they're women - hardcore awesome women, don't get me wrong, but women none the less. Your writing has the authentic ring of each of the characters' ways of speaking. I could practically see Brad and Ray shooting the shit about brunettes, Poke giving another lecture on how the white man's managed to fuck up again, and Brad realizing he's having the gayest moment of his life. In short, it was amazing. You're officially one of my favs.
This has got to be one of the most awesome, humbling things ever said to me. I'm beyond pleased to hear the dialogue rings true with you. Thank you so much ♥
It never ceases to amaze me how many of the excellent stories in this fandom are framed around the same handful of events, and it's a joy to read the new points of view, or a differently nuanced description. I so enjoyed reading this.
Haha, it's like--we've only got seven eps to work with, just when are we going to stop banging our heads against the brick wall? XDD Honestly though, revisiting the canon is too damn irresistible, and we're just glad people aren't getting sick of reading yet. Thank you. ♥

Instead, I'll just quote back at you:
"every day adding a layer of respect and admiration and need until it feels Brad will buckle under it all."
So tangible.
"It might be the gayest moment of his life. But, then again-moot point."
Hee!!
"he recognizes Nate less with his eyes than with the lurch in his gut"
OMG THIS LINE. This line is fucking amazing. So, so relatable and such a creative way of putting it.
Your writing is delectable.
