Cosplay rant~

Jul 13, 2009 12:17

*sigh* Why are some people so stupid? Really now, it's such a shame close-mindedness isn't a disease they can fabricate pills for. Forgive me for ranting, but someone has pissed me off and I need to vent.

So what's it all about, little Lid'l, you ask? ( Well, lemme tell you in painful, excruciating detail. )

Heh heh, yeah. They can go ahead and do unmentionable stuf to themselves :)

And I can imagine you not understanding cosplay. It's one of the weirdest things to have ever been invented by crazy fans :P But then again, isn't collecting stamps and miniature trains and other harmless stuff like that not just as weird? At least us freaks aren't ripping holes into innocent bystanders (though I am tempted now <3 Huhuhu).

As far as I heard, they're going to shoot footage at a picknick upcoming Sunday. I won't be there. I don't know about the other gals, but I refuse~ *hugs*

People have weird ideas about cosplay. But ehm, i have to admit that I think there are a significantly more japan-wanabee's in the cosplay community then in in the rest of the population. Same goes for lolita though. And it's always a few bad apples that spoil it for the rest.

I do am afraid that creepy-journalist-person will finde some attention-whores to fullfill his need for a freakshow, filled with some who do fit into the prejudiced image of japan-obsessed nutcases.

You're very right. There are a lot of japanabee's in the cosplay community . . . those people always make me sigh. When one goes to the Elfteling for a fun day of relaxation and thrilling rides and sees a group of Narutards and gamecharacters running and screaming and (fake) fighting, one's mood is aptly spoiled.

And you know what I'm scared of most? That they'll approach a few lolita's and ask them for the article. Which is bad for lolita, too!! Because as opposed to cosplay, lolita is a lifestyle and not a hobby~

*groans* Peeeeeooooople~ They should do more research on matters before making retarded television.

Media likes freakshows especially on tv. That attracts viewers.

Narutards, that's a cool word. I already knew Ita and wapanese. I never understand why people worship japan so much. I am too interested in the culture and like to visit that country. But I'll want to visit the cultural sights: deshima, nagasaki, kyoto, lots of temples, the countryside, an onsen.... those things. But I'll never ever ever ever would want to live there. Crappy economy, hostility against foreigners, hell I don't even like living in Belgium for that matter. Too much a cultural difference.

Annyway now you saw both my main icons. You can choose which you like best.

Well kiddo... (yes I live, why I'm here is a long story XD)

They decided to come film on Freegaming... which is fine by me since it's an actual event I'd wear it to anyway! ^_^

I know cosplay is a hard to understand hobby, I know we're weird, but that doesn't mean we're to be used a fun material for a show! *raises fist* We'll have fun saturday, right?
