Appliance companies assume that if you are brewing coffee, you know how to brew an amount/strength that you like. In this regard, I believe they are wrong. All of us brewers/coffee-maker owners had to have started sometime, and though I do not possess the instruction manual to our particular appliance, I can guess that it would have directed its user to make cups of coffee that were each about 4 oz. What assholes.
