The s'mores scene and the idea of Sam and Dean making them as kids is just so lovely... and then CASTIEL LOVES THEM YES YES YES and Dean's pornographic noises... <3

It is my personal headcanon that not everything about Sam and Dean's childhood sucked, and making s'mores was one of their not-sucky highlights. And of course Castiel wants to live ♥ I wouldn't have been able to write it any other way. He's definitely got a long journey ahead of him, but I try to opt for optimism.

I have to say, as soon as i got the draft in my email, i fell in love with this fic. Now, reading the final version, i fell for it even more. And Cas' hat!! You were a joy to work with, and I loved our conversations on email. Mostly everything about this fic makes me want to keysmash in adoration because it does. I look forward to your next projects!

This was such a sweet and feel-good fic. I loved how concerned Sam was not just with Cas's health but just with wanting him to be happy and enjoy life. I think that's definitely the kind of thing Dean would not think to look into, so it was really great that Cas had Sam looking out for him.
