To be honest, I'm a bit torn as to whether or not I actually want Castiel to fall. It's one of my favorite concepts to play around with in fanon, and I would love to see the dynamics of Sam, Dean, and Castiel hunting together for a long period of time played out onscreen. But I don't know if I trust the writers to do a satisfactory job with it; there's a lot that could go wrong.

It would be nice, there's just one problem with it. for Cas to fall, he'd have to be reborn as a human, so he wouldn't be able to help the Winchesters for at least another decade and a half, if not longer and then he wouldn't even be able to remember whom he was or who the Winchesters are.

Interesting! I can totally see this as the canon endgame for Cas--I definitely think he'll have to choose between Heaven and Earth at some point.
