Beautiful. It makes sense that Sam would be feeling this way, and I so love how determined Castiel is to make it better for him.

Thanks for reading! I figured that "angel possession" would have some side effects, and I certainly don't think Castiel would let Sam go through those alone. Glad you enjoyed this.

It makes perfect sense that, regardless of what Gadreel did, Sam would feel almost overwhelmingly empty and lost. I love your description of the light of grace completely surrounding Sam's soul. It feels right that Castiel is providing such comfort. Really nice.

Thank you so much for leaving a comment. I definitely think that being possessed by Gadreel would have some lingering side effects, and I hadn't seen any other stories exploring that concept. I'm glad this made sense to you.

*incoherent whimpering* Oh my goodness, Your fics remain--with good reason--among my favorites. Your writing skills are so warm, soulful, and thrumming with thinly-covered energy under every word. You make storytellng look easy, m'dear. I can't imagine the work you must've put into perfecting this as a craft of yours, and if this is something that has always come naturally to you, then that is just astounding to me.

You should honestly be one of the big names in the SPN fandom, and it makes no sense to me that you do not receive hundreds of comments on everything you write. Oh man, the layers and the ideas in this fic are at once intense and gently presented, which is a balance that is difficult to strike. Ugh, I just love this fic. You inspire me so phenomenally, really.

Oh my gosh, thank you so much for saying all of that. Seriously. Today wasn't the greatest day ever, and it means a lot coming home to a review like this. I really appreciate the time you took to write out something as sweet and eloquent as this comment.
