Wellllll, we stayed in the little place called "The Breakers" in Waikiki...it was really cute and homey--right by the beach and the main shopping strip. Wherever you stay though, i recommend going to Honolulu/Waikiki b/c the food and shopping is really good :-). just make sure you do it at the beginning of your trip.

In Kaua'i, we stayed in the Marriott...it was one of the coolest hotels ive ever stayed in--it had this huge pool w/ like 5 hot tubs, its own private beach area, shopping places, really good restaurants, and lots of stuff going on all the time.

We stayed in Honolulu for 4 days and Kaua'i for about 10...if you're gonna do honolulu, do it first, b/c its really "cityish" and good for shopping and partying--but thats about it. Places like Kaua'i and Maui are where you need to go for the bulk of your trip b/c that's where the "cultural" part of Hawai'i really is! :-) its gorgeous!

Let me know if you need anymore advice...especially while its all still fresh in my mind!! I have pictures too... :-)

Love you Lizard!
