The Dark Knight - perhaps because I'd had three cocktails in quick succession before seeing this, but - what? Two and a half hours for that? Seriously? There was about 90 minutes of plot in there. And they killed Aaron Eckhart :(

6/10 DISAPPOINTING

I'm quite sure I could be much more scathing.

Yeah, but there's the disappearing-pencil trick!

On the down side, they do destroy the rather super Batmobile, and Two-Face is SUPPOSED to get acid over his face.

The disappearing pencil trick is worth the price of entry alone. Such a damned shame about Heath Ledger. I will openly admit that I reacted to his casting with disdain and disgust, but ate my words upon seeing the first trailer.

I agree. Apart from the Aaron Eckhart thing. Well that is to say it wasn't something that bothered me because he was crap. Why does everyone think he was doing a good job in the film? His face looks fake at the best of times before he becomes two face. His performance was utterly unconvincing if you ask me.

I have a soft spot for Aaron Eckhart since Thank You For Smoking and Conversations With Other Women, both of which are cracking films and he is great in both. I wouldn't say that he put a distinguished performance in in TDK, but I like him all the same.
