;_; Oh my God, that sounds awful. I cringed when I read about putting the tube in your arm. It sounds really reminiscent of when we had to take Rachael to the ER for her colitis, complete with useless doctors!
It's good to hear that you've got those antibiotics at least, since that should help you with the fever and the infection. Have you made another appointment with your chiropractor?
No, I haven't yet. I'm not sure if I want to. It's $45 and all he really does is adjust my lower back. Which DOES help - to a degree. I think there is actually something wrong with me that simple adjustments aren't really going to help. We'll just have to wait and see I suppose!
At least you got some decent meds out of the deal. I loathe the ER, because it seems like everyone there is incompetent. Have you thought about signing up for Oregon Health Plan?
Tuality has some of the least competent doctors and nurses I've ever dealt with! They leave you waiting for HOURS even though they've said you are free to go, but they don't take the IV out of your arm and unhook you from all those machines. UGH. My dad was in there for 3 days and that's what happened to him when they finally discharged him. I almost went postal.
Kidney infections for the LOSE. I hate them. They are icky and terrible and just. No fun. I was hospitlized for one at tuality for about 8 hours, but I was this close to dying, and didn't pay much attention to the doctors. Then again, I had a fever of 104 and my heart rate was 134bpm, so I got in really quick, and pretty much just wanted to have the stabbing pain stop, so I begged for morphine and as soon as I got it I stfu.
