So, due to a mixture of illness, Christmas and revision my Nathan Barley Christmas fic didn't really get finished because I couldn't even bring myself to type. So today, in the intervals when I could get away from my family, I knocked this up: small and sweet. I hope you enjoy it.

The snowman was his pride and joy... )

So many things to love... the way Naboo is so offhand about it all, the way Howard tries to make the snowman into a pretty, tweed-wearing female but once he's given it Vince's eyes, the snowman has ideas of his own... and the brilliant ending with snowman Vince thawing out iceman Howard...
I will be coming back to read this again tomorrow when I'm wider awake. Merry Christmas!

Also, this story just gets better and better the more you read it!

But yay, I'm so glad you liked it! Howard can't get away from Vince, as hard as he tries (thank God). Hope you had a brilliant Christmas!

As always, your writing is just lovely. The juxtaposition of the ethereal and magical creature made of snow and the typically Vincey words is sweet and funny.
This bit: Vince smiled secretively at that. “You didn’t make me,” he said. “You needed me. I’ve been here all along; just needed someone to pull me together.”
Perfection. Merry Christmas!

But thank you so much; I'm really glad you liked it! I like to think that if Vince was really a snowman he'd spend all his time molding his hair before it melted.
Happy Christmas!
