why are you taking pictures?

I feel like I've just had a baby, really. I carry around a case that seems like a diaper bag. I carry the camera around like it's an infant. I don't want to leave it, and I choose wisely who I hand it off to. Sometimes I leave it with a "babysitter." People ask about it, and look at me differently. I am--what seems like--a new mom.
