the same black line that was drawn on you, drawn on me

These photos were done for the second critique of my photography class. Not sure if we needed a theme for that particular critique, but to keep things nice and neat here, I call the series:

When I Wander )

omg..your pictures such ASS. Who said you were a photographer? NOT ME that's for sure. jeeeeez...*gag* :-P um..JUST KIDDING...I totally love the series. My favorite had been previously the hotel one but the "tasty Falafel" pic is speaking to me right now and I'm loving it. But then the second one with the small asian woman is so intriguing. Man..I love the way diversity and the NYC essence came across in all the photos. The order you put them in totally fit in with your theme of "end of the day". Like you see the gradual quieting down yet bustle of this amazing city. I am so jealous of your photography skills. If you keep working on it I'm so sure Magnum would love to have you. I know they are super select but if you have a true passion and you work at it you could achieve it. (even while pursuing a medical degree) Freelance Blaz..FREELANCE ( ... )

the whole paragraph??? yeah, that was the only line i believed. and thanks. it's not everyday i hear things like that. what an honor. and really, i'm not being sarcastic here. and when did i ever say that i was a photographer?? i'm merely a tourist snapping pics. you can do it too.

i know i know. wtf. one day i had 20 gigz...next thing i had 2. i should clean my comp once school's over. some of these songs are getting dusty.

yeah i guess. i mean, i thought it was kinda odd. it's there's this boxing wave ever since million dollar baby came out. but i'm sure there's no parallelism.

and are you putting up your phoenix icon to match my anime theme?? awwww.

Sorry to a tiny fraction of people who've already seen these.

Sorry for subjecting us to really interesting/brilliant pieces of art? :P yeaaaaaaah. you should be!! hehe. That's the cool thing about capturing moments....appreciation often grows with repeated viewing. I think the series title is very fitting also.

You know how they say "you are what you eat?" it should totally be changed to...you are waht's in your computer. In this day and age, isn't it the truth?

pfffft. i think you can learn something about the person above you. "ass" is more credible. really.

but yeah, i kinda cracked myself up when i called it "when i wander"...it's like i'm about to belt out a ballad.

hahaha, or "you are what you don't eat" nowadays. but yeah, i totally agree. this reminds me of the movie "adaptation" - "You are what you love, not what loves you."

lol. yeah, my teach said something about that place too when she saw the pic. she was like "mmmmmm, falafels" kinda sad, but i didn't even notice the place till the pic came out. i just noticed the cat on the couch. it's like a set on stage.

p.s are you from buffalo?

Yeah, I liked the couch part especially, but I just got like this taste for falafel suddenly and like nostalgic because the first time I had it was in NYC.

Born and raised in Buffalo (well, born in the city and partially raised in it and then partially raised the godforsaken suburbs)

Aww, NEW YORK. <3

I like the 2nd to last one best, and not just cause of the falafel. Are they tasty? Inquiring minds want to know.

lol Yeah, they're good. If you like peas, then it's for you. I really doubt that it wasn't for the falafels btw.

Oh no, I love falafel. I just wanted to know if Tasty Falafel lives up to its name. ;)
