It had been an exciting few days; Tara needed time to recover. She said her goodbyes to Willow and went back to her dorm room to think

Meanwhile, in a different part of the world and at a different point in time, Kennedy had noticed that her Willow had been acting kind of weird lately. ('Lately' was actually 'for the past couple of months, except she hadn't noticed until recently.')
Granted, she hadn't tried too hard to ask, and Willow was not exactly forthcoming about some things, so she had a whole lot of nothing to go on and was pretty much stuck at Confused.
...and being Kennedy and thus not terribly inclined toward introspection, she wasn't spending too much time actually thinking about it. In her defense, she did have a couple of big midterm papers to work on and a recalcitrant newbie Slayer to train, and the latter of those two was annoying her enough to take a break and bother people.
Hey, from the bottom half of the world. How's life in Sunny-D?
Sunny-D-ish, Tara tapped back quickly, smiling a bit to hear from Kennedy. It was good to be reminded she was still out there, fighting the good fight. Did you know Buffy swapped bodies with Skanky the Slayer? We fixed it but UGH.
So maybe Willow's opinion of Faith had rubbed off on Tara. The Faith in Fandom had been decent enough, but that had been a couple years and a universe ago.
Think I heard about that one, yeah. Willow's opinion of Faith had mellowed out by Kennedy's time, but it was still the source of occasional mild tension. I feel kinda like I should stick up for Faith here but that was not her best moment. What's new on the you-front?
Look, she'd waited a whole two texts to start indulging her curiosity. That was huge for her.
So they hadn't actually said the g-word yet. And so Willow had only gotten around to introducing Tara to her friends, like, three days ago. This was a text with her ex whose life seemed to be going awesomely -- Tara was allowed to engage in a little wishful thinking on what exactly to call the Willow situation.
So that's the only big thing. VERY early, cross yr fingers for me?
Ender had spent most of the day out at the latest dig site near the portal - well in range of communications with the rest of the multiverse. It had been a while since Tara had left-- he might as well check on her.
