I think my theatre friends from back home have forgotten about me.  They invite me to their plays.  But they don't tag me in their notes about the David Reid or their experiences there.  But they remember the people who started second semester senior year.  When I write on their walls they don't always write back.  I'm not expecting to stay great ( Read more... )

Jayne, I agree with this more than you know. I've always been the heathen who was the one who lost at ten fingers, was shunned by the bible thumpers, looked down upon, and I was frankly tired of it.

it happens to all of us. I used to (and honestly still do) go to set builds to still be included, but since everyone has graduated I do it more to help out Kevin and Mary than to hang out with the theatre kids. I guess it is one of the shitty things about youth theatre and why we did scot-free. Too bad we ran out of directors or we would be doing stuff every summer. I planned to talk to people about it and see if we could borrow a director from someplace for a new "post youth" theatre summer program. We had one who was really exited but since I was out of the country they really had no one who wanted to stage manage. Oh well, Ill keep you posted.
