The first time I had to get my blood taken, I laughed. Maybe it was due to low blood sugar, or the lack of sleep I'm sure I had been experiencing, or even just my usually jittery nerves. Interesting. I've had about fifty blood tests in my life due to past medications I've been on that required them monthly, doctor's appointments (for whatever reason, they seem to like taking my blood), and surgery. I'm really used to it now, so to me it's just like getting blood pressure taken. I've also had my share of IVs and pain pumps. I have really good viens, though, so maybe that's why it doesn't bother me as much.

Some of my friends, who are in their late twenties, have never had blood tests or IVs before. I just can't imagine....how could doctors know anything about you without it?
