Dinner

Gotta give myself pretty good marks on dinner tonight ... the average for the meal was brought up by a Very Strong entrant in the sauce category. The peppercorn-cream sauce, which I inevitably make with Irish Whiskey (because, really, do I have room to keep cognac in the house, too?) thickened up very nicely, and struck a nice balance in the ( Read more... )

Oooh sounds tasty. I am right now letting the giant bread blob that tried to eat my kitchen raise as rolls, making a maple walnut pie, and at some point making cranberry relish and getting green beans ready. Mighty Bob is cooking turkey tomorrow!

It was tasty, but I deducted points for the store-bought mashed potatoes. And, honestly, the steak was a touch less rare than I like.

Sounds like you've got a great deal going on in your kitchen ... I'm lucky to hit a single meal, really. It all sounds teh yum!

Dinner was leftovers, so messing up the kitchen was easy tonight. We don't get this much feasting often. Honest.
