As a masive HP fan I was devastated to see it finish. But it has given me the opportunity to branch out into other books. I'm going to suggest 'The Mortal Instruments Trilogy' if you want something similar but with a bit of romance and suspense thrown in. It starts with City of Bones. Then City of Ashes and ends with City of Glass. They are

I really enjoyed The Time-Traveller's Wife. I'm impressed how realistically is portrayed what it would be like to have Henry's affliction. It's heartbreaking.

BRILLIANT! I'm so happy that someone took my recommendation. Really glad that you enjoyed it. Yes it is heartbreaking, but beautifully written. Better to have and lost than to have never loved at all.
