As I've skipped 450 during the day (not gone back any further, even though I've needed to, because LJ wouldn't let me) I've seen all sorts of talk about people jumping the LJ ship and finding new homes. It worried me (not talking about the whole censorship thing here) because I'm a bit of a home bird, and this is home in so many ways. I snaffled an ( Read more... )

I always feel that, that sometimes I don't comment or kind of forget people when they take a break from LJ or things like that, but then they come back and I realize just how much I missed them. Don't go anywhere. I'm not. We'll hunker down together - you bring the wine (heeeeen) and I'll bring the cheese.

(Have you heard from our mutual pal G lately? I worry.)

::raises hand:: I would like to hunker here, please. I will bring shrimp.

((Am I allowed even though I am only recently back? Is there a probation period for hunkering?))

I don't want anybody to leave, either. Not only would it be a hassle to pick up and move, but everybody might not move to the same place, and that would break my heart. What if I had to choose between places?

LMFAO! You love "heeeeeen"? I got that from jillkins about 1,000 years ago so I can't take any credit at all.

*adores you toooo*

It's the HBH5! I love, mate! Heeeeeeeeeeeeen originated from my dear friend sweetly_savage about 4 years ago. I've watched with pride as it swept the board.

I think lj is overreacting. People see a bandwagon and want to join it. Fandom always finds a way to implode by itself with the tiniest nudge.

I'm not going anywhere because I don't do anything lj can nab me for and I have no interest in defending those people who feel hard done by because they claim their creative freedom is being restricted by the law. Tough titties.

Ahem. This actually is the only time I've commented on it anywhere. And I won;t comment again because I don't give a toss.

Hi! *squishes*

Well I'm honoured that you gave enough of a toss to comment here, my dear.

*squishes you back even harder*

It's definitely the family thing. You make a connection with people that's not really fandom related.

I'm keeping my paid membership for the time being because I love my icons and my email alerts. I have as feeling that I just wouldn't use a free account in the same way and that would be a shame - for me. I may, of course, change my mind ;).

Bless your grinchy little black heart.

*smooches you*

I don't have a paid account you know and I get email alerts just the same telling me if anyone has commented no my LJ or on my comment.

And I've learned to live on 6 icons, even though the temptations can be agonizing with bambu345 on my f-list.

Otherwise...

You're tempting me, actually. Though the icon issue might swing it. I have a few months before I decide.

I'm not going anywhere...yet.

I'll be mirroring my site though, if only because I put such effort into Adaptation, it would be a shame if I came on one day and whoops! It's no longer there. ;) I know what you mean though - I've been here on LJ for a few years now, and I've built up a much appreciated circle of friends. It'd be a shame to see everyone leave. I did add you on over at InsaneJournal, hope you don't mind. Take care!
