my theory on CRUSHES

Crushes are like chocolate Easter bunnies.

They are all sparkly and shiny and wrapped in colorful foil. They look so...appealing! You just have to see what is under that foil, have to bite into it. The anticipation itself is tasty, yes, but you know that sinking your teeth in and feeling the perfect silky meltiness of the chocolate against

I am a fan of friendships, I think, and relationships, rather than crushes. Maybe I don't have the right temperment or something.

Interesting. i can see how this analogy doesn't speak to other modes of balance and slowly growing affection. Crushing on someone can be fun...you can see that I like the rush. I also like the stability of friendships. I'm glad that when crushes don't work out, I'm usually not crushed...I have higher expectations of my friendships!
