1. Tell us about your favorite setting that you've worked with and why.I'm currently working on a book that revolves around a Victorian cult. Since I'm a bit obsessed with that time period it's certainly the best setting that I've created. It allows for lots of smells, sounds, and vivid pictures and hopefully a stark contrast to the modern world.

I find Victoriana (or any historical period) very challenging to write. The language for Bertie Wooster or Sherlock Holmes makes me nervous, mostly because I know that one word or phrase amiss will throw the reader right out of the story, and that it's probably being read by someone who knows the vernacular far better than I do.

So YAY YOU for working that setting.
