It sounds like a life insurance ad or something, but yeah, how bad would it be if your hard drive died in the next 24 hours? This is a gentle poke to say don't lose your current semester's research or your latest art and writing. Copying user-created files to a USB stick is the quickest way to make a local backup. Nope, not a thing. My computer is 100% backed up on duplicate copies and everything is A-okay. Things happened in the past, yes, but most of them not to me. Computer science class in high school is fun with semi-regular power flickers.
