My mom's sister has been diagnosed with this and let me tell you - she is about the most difficult person to be around that I have ever experienced. I know of other people who seem to have at least a mild form of this but I think she may be leaning fairly close to sociopath. Fucking creepy.

Wow-- that must be hard for your mother and other people that have to be around your aunt..

the more severe cases CAN be extremely hard to deal with... and even harder to get through to. Medication rarely works with Personality Disorders, but a certain type of therapy called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been deemed to work sometimes-- is she seeking treatment?
