So it would seem that our friends in Bat-Shit Conservative Land have been busy as of late. Item the first is the news about Amazon.com's... ahem... glitch, in which books considered to have 'adult' themes (be they GLBT, erotica, etc.) were not only removed from the sales rankings, but also were de-tagged so that they would not show up in product ( Read more... )

Reminds me of the British Police ones that are being mocked here: http://www.deadinsect.co.uk/2009/03/london-metropolitan-police-stupid-fear.html (couldn't find a link to the originals on a casual google). I like the Miesweeper one.

Hee, yes I had seen those earlier this week. The actual ones are scary, but the parodies are sheer genius. There's one of them (sadly not a parody) on a huge billboard visible as you come into York on the train from Leeds. Sigh.
