This is a great essay, but I disagree with the last sentence. I doubt that sexism will disappear entirely (or even mostly) in your lifetime, but I don't doubt that it will genuinely improve somewhat, because in my lifetime it already has.

Well, it's getting worse pretty much globally at the moment, so it has to stop getting worse, then find its way back to how it was say, 10 years ago, then improve in my lifetime. Not going to happen.
