As much as I would like to just wear my frilly dresses and daydream about cakes, the reality of this world we live in is just not as pretty. It just pains me to watch the news lately. *sigh*

Indeed. It's pretty grim these days.

It's a royal mess just in the middle east. As if wasn't bad enough that everyday people have been dying in bomb attacks in Iraq and Afghanistan for however many months, recent events are even more grim. =/

On a lighter note, I think it's funny that our governator has offered Blair a role in Terminator 4! XD

I owe you at least £100 that you can have when I see you at V if you like :)

Wear frilly dresses! Daydream about cakes! Do it while you watch the news. We're all very lucky to be able to, so you may as well.

Hehe no worries, I'm not low on cash or anything! But since I've seen buying stuff, I feel like I should get rid of stuff to kinda justify me accumlating more crap and spending money. XD I do have quite a bit of stuff I don't really use or need haha.

Yeah I know indeed we're lucky, plenty to be thankful for. =)

100F! Well probably humid as well? I hope you're in an AC environment most of the time!
I know indeed, it's like maybe we can donate money if that, but really not much we personally can do. =/

Hey sweetie. I know exactly what you mean. Some days my hubby and I refuse to watch the news as it can get so damn depressing and frustrating. Over here, news this week has been focused on how a pedophile managed to escape parole restrictions and kidnap two boys, one 10, one 14. Every time this guy has been released from prison, he takes a kid and sexually attacks them. Professionals have labelled him as a "repeat offender"...yet, they keep letting this guy out of prison! Luckily, they found the two boys early this morning (don't know yet what shape they are in though)...but still! It boggles the mind doesn't it?

I guess all we can do when moments like these hit us is to look inward; focus on our own personal lives; and try our damnest to make those count. Love the people you love and all that.

Hugs to you sweetie.

That sounds horrible! (I read the details in your post too.)

Yes, you're right. I guess I can appreciate the good things I have in my life but not forget the suffering of the less fortunate in other parts of the world. =)

PS You got my email right? I wasn't sure if that's the right one cos I know you've changed your emails a few times!!
