We didn't go to the LIFE is Good conference this year.  Megan wasn't up for it.  She was excited to see friends, but I think all the activity was overwhelming to her last year.  But we did get to see Albuquerque friends and that was a huge, huge blessing.  And being near the LIFE is Good families, seeing how families connect was literally a "breath ( Read more... )

I backed over a neighbor's mailbox.  I can't believe I did it.

We didn't have anything to write on/with and we were late for Taekwondo.  As soon as we got back I walked down the street to talk to them, but they weren't home.  I left a note and my phone number.  I feel doubly bad because rosenthol7  is the one who is going to have to fix their mailbox.

Zoe often repeats the things she hears.  Thankfully, she hasn't picked up my swearing (which is so toned down from when Megan was a baby.  I try to limit myself to "oh, balls").  Anyway, she says things like "I love you" all the time.  Lately, she's been saying "you are the best mommy ever" in a seriousness that is surprisingly deep for a two year ( Read more... )

I had a great lunch with the family and introduced Megan to the wonder that is fried mushrooms.  We had a fairly decent time finding Megan new pants at the thrift store.  She outgrew all but one pair of pants in the past week.  It is crazy!  (I mean, look at those legs!)  The only downside to our shopping ( Read more... )

Megan asked if we could move back to NM as her birthday present.

Huh.  The things you learn.  How chickens reproduce.  And how the egg exits.

We adopted a dog from the Humane Society on Monday.  We took him back today.  He was hunting/chasing the cats.

Aside from the "trying to eat the cats" issue, he was exactly what we wanted.

We are all very upset.

We'll start the search over again, but it is rough.
