I hear you. I screw myself and others over by forgetting too - and every time I tell myself I'll be more careful next time, and then it's next time, and oops. I'm so afraid of hurting people by doing something wrong - but too much of the time I hurt them by being careless and doing nothing. Or maybe I'm just really irresponsible (maybe some of each). Anyway, you're not a jackass, and yeah, it's a problem. Maybe between the two of us we can fix each other.
