So I was told getting off the plane that no one has a sense of humor on a wedding weekend. Yes, I guess my sensibilites are just not suited for the Midwest anymore. I told some lady today that her shoes, horrible sandles that looked like flip flips except with thick straps that covered a good half of her foot, weren't very flattering. She stared at me like I was a leper. Hmm, strange world!?

Dearest Ryder-

Please accept my apologies for missing your wedding. Getting married, as you know, is a hugely important step in any het's life. That I was not able to be there to support you, on this, one of your most significant days, fills me with sadness. Were I able to attend, I surely would have shined my spotlight on you- for this is your day, that's all about you. It's not as if people get married every day. Well- not people who are close to you at the least, so I wouldn't mind not focusing on myself for one time in my self-centered little life. After all, this day is all about you.
