I've agreed to go see the second part of Wagner's Ring Cycle starring Placido Domingo tomorrow night at the Met. A five hour opera with a boy I am some what ambivilant towards. I think this might be a mistake.

Au contraire - Zeigfried is my favorite of the Ring Cycle operas, especially the second act (the first drags on a bit, and you'll want to strangle the main characters for being dumbasses halfway through). It's really good, though.

Plus, you can dress to the nines and nobody will bat an eyelash.
