I went to a senior piano recital with a friend because she needed to get credit for a class. The recital was awesome. No one spoke, nobody introduced the songs she just played, and it was great. After experiencing the classical piano that evening, I almost felt guilty when I turned on the car and the classic rock station was dialed in. I ( Read more... )

Hey, I must admit that more than once, on a calm, quiet evening, I have found myself tuning the radio to NPR. I really do like the classical, jazz, and opera that they're usually playing w/out interruption at night, but I can't stand that archetype NPR guy who says in his low, unhurried, and exasperatingly mellow voice, "Yes.. and umm.... that was..... a lovely..... song..... by Beethoven........"
But besides that I give them a high five. Maybe some day we can go hiking together on Monte Sano to the background music of NPR hits.

I just posted a couple of weeks agoon the goodness of NPR, and my family has always listened to PHC. It's good stuff...
