You know what jason. I don't understand love, i really don't. All i can say is that God is the only unconditional love out there, but that doens't mean other love is tainted. Love, like a friendship, is work. It's deep friendship that takes work. Even if you have found someone you "love", it doesn't make one happy. Sure it helps, but it's yourself that makes you happy.
The only example i have is my parents: they probably love eachother but even if they didn't, they get along well together and they laugh like teenagers. I think love is never growing up. If we stay young in our hearts, love will be there because we havne't "grown up"
