You Just Never Know...

So, this afternoon a former colleague asked "Would you be interested in writing part of a chapter of a book I'm working on?" to which I said "Sure, sounds fun". This was followed by "Oh, I'm trying to wrap this up for tomorrow." So, I'm writing part of a book tonight that I just heard about for the first time about 6 hours ago. It only ended up being about 2 pages, but he was pretty happy with it. He's got 1 book published, so you never know. I actually had a mention in another book earlier this year - a blog post I did was put on a resource CD and then my name and the post were referenced:

Not exactly a NYT best seller, but the author is well-known in the circles I run in, so that was cool.

It's a good premise for a book. Being data-driven is a big trend in higher education, too. It sounds like a great project to be associated with.

(My husband does literary criticism, so I totally get the idea of being well-known in the field without the NYT being on board.)

The book's not even done. I got part of an unfinished chapter and needed to fill in some blanks on statistics.
