Happy Father's Day....
....To all you dads out there!
Thought I would share with you a little about Alex's playtime on Friday as it's fitting with the Father's Day theme.
Friday our librarian gave Alex an army man playset and later that afternoon he brought one of them to me along with his magnifying glass and said "Look mommie, I use this and I can see his face and he's so sad. Why is he sad?" I held the magnifier over his face and he did indeed have a huge frown. I asked Alex why he thought he was sad and he replied, "Is it cause he has to do lots of mean things? I kiss him better." And he gave Mr. Armyman a huge kiss, looked at his face again, and yelled "It didn't work mommy he's still so sad!" He stood there for a moment thinking and then said "I know mommie. I know how to make him smile." And he ran off. I followed him and he went in Rebecca's room and he put an apron on Mr.Armyman, placed him in the dollhouse, standing at the kitchen stove, with a baby sitting at his feet. I asked him what Mr. Armyman was doing and he said "He's a daddy now mommie. And he's so very happy, see his smile?"
He's a very wise 3 year old for sure.
