Homemade Pizza!

Why?

Buying it from a chain or a store cost too much. Making it yourself saves tons. You've got your crust made from just flour and yeast, cheese you can buy on sale, sauce can be homemade for pennies or just use a can of spaghetti sauce, and whatever toppings you want.

Plus it tastes really good! And is healthier for you!

7 of us ate until we were stuffed, with tons left over for lunch tomorrow, for under $6!

My secret is a NO ROLL pizza crust! You just pat it into the pan, so easy!

Easy No Roll Pizza Dough:
Makes more pizza crusts than you need

10 cups flour (I used 7 cups white and 3 cups wheat)
Herbs & spices of choice (I used garlic powder, oregano, and basil)
4 cups warm water
3 tablespoons yeast
4 tablespoons oil (I used olive oil)

*Put the yeast and oil into the warm water - set aside
*Mix flour, spices, and herbs together in a really freaking huge bowl because it’s a recipe from a summer camp and you’re too lazy to figure out the math to decrease it.

Make a hole in the middle; if your son’s toy army man is lying on the counter you can pretend it’s a crater.

*Pour the yeast water into the crater. (Take army man out first, unless he’s an evil army man and needs to drown.)

*Mix it as best as you can - no need to go crazy, lumps are fine.

*Set the huge bowl aside to rise (on top of the oven is good because it will be warm), don’t drop it on your toe. 10 cups of dough hurts!

*Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Go clean up the dough mess and get out your pizza pans. I made 4 large pizzas, 3 small pizzas, and one tiny pizza. They were all regular crust, as in not thin or thick.
Spray your pans with pam. Get your dough.

Here’s the fun part! No rolling the dough! (Which I hate.) You just grab a hunk of dough, make sure your hands are oiled up as the dough will be really soft, and pat in into the pans! So easy!

I pre-cook my crusts but you can do what you like. I put mine in for 10 minutes, took them out and put sauce, cheese, and toppings on them and then put them back in the oven for 10-15 more minutes.

Then we had pizza overload ON pizza shaped plates! Because we are cool like that.

Enjoy!
