I'm glad you thought the words fit both the music and the bleak outlook we now face post-S7. I couldn't resist throwing in a reference to Out of The Chute in the chorus. To me that scene made my stomach drop and my heart ache; I could only imagine how much worse it was for Wilson to watch.

This is really good. You made the song fit the words. I just do have to mention, the deadline was midnight at central daylight time. So I'm not sure whether you made the deadline or not, but regardless I am so glad you posted this.

Thanks. I found counting syllables and ending lines with words that rhymed with those in the original song produced the best filk results. The second and third verses got a little sketchy in that department since I ended up not being able to spend as much time on them, but overall I'm pleased with it.

The deadline thing - I live in central time zone and posted to the comm at approximately 11:45 pm. Yeah, I totally came skidding in sideways to make the cutoff. Teehee.

I wholeheartedly agree, though after the deluge of entries yesterday I think Wilson might not. Poor guy. Camp was very rough on him this year.
