Am gonna date myself a bit here but "Wayne's World" came out when I was a freshman in college. For the next year had to listen to people quote endlessly from that movie. A line that when it occurs in context in the film might very well be funny/clever/catchy, but when repeated ad nauseum by the 20 and under set, well it is rendered comically ( Read more... )

nice music choice!

i hate it when people do that. it is in fact one of the contributing factors as to why i have never seen either of the 'wayne's world's, although i probably would like them. and at times it seems like these people aren't even quoting the movie, just quoting everyone else around them.

i have yet to hear someone say "earmuffs" though.

Am envious that you haven't had to deal with the "earmuff" thang. I have a couple friends who preface every salacious story with that line. Like it makes them seem less skanky...NOT. Sorry...couldn't resist.

By the way, I like your choices for authors/musicians. Very nice. Scrabble is great, too...but I'm not so great at it. I like to make up words (which doesn't work in that game).

Thanks for adding me!!! I love the fact that you also head up your journal with a Voltaire quotation. I am ALWAYS attempting to make up words in scrabble & once in awhile get with it.
