I have noted that there are two kinds of people in this world, takers and creators. Creators are the ones that make history, and fill it. Takers, of course, are the ones that live through it and make up the bulk. To make an analogy of it, takers are the cake, and creators are the icing that cover it. Both are needed of course. Just eating cake ( Read more... )

Using your cake analogy, is there no icing in-between? That is, I'm not entirely sure you can sharply quantify every person within the boundary of only one ideal.

See sub-class answer above.

Ahh... I guess I skipped over that part. Thank you. At any rate, what can we make of each class being divided infinitely?

It can't though. Most people invariably fall into one stereotype or another. Personal traits like what kinds of food they like or how well they do at math are pointless to categorize people with, unless you are taking a survey. Think of the major groups, and you realize that people fall into those. Though inevitably, you will find that some are falsely placed by others due to lack of complete knowledge of the person. Nonetheless, we all fall into some class, of which these can't be divided infinitely, unless, as said before, you nitpick silly values.

Well...just for fun's sake...I'm both...depending on the day...

Must be the gemini thing...my Castor is a creator...but my Pollux is a DEFINITE taker.

have you read any ayn rand? and aside from that...everyone should be a creator. everyone should be the hardworker contributing as much as they can to reach their goals. but instead the hardest workers can be kept in the crappiest job because they work not because they are told but because it is their nature to work hard. and the boss knows that they'll work twice as hard and get paid less and carry the burden for other people. there's a lot wrong with this world. most of it being that we developed a system where we're expected to assimilate, we suck up, we fit in, we throw nice parties to impress people, we pretend to feel because we're told we should feel a certain way. this is more serious than a cake, the takers would die if it weren't for the creators.

But without takers, creators wouldn't be as useful. It's kind of a symbiotic system.

what greater use is there than for your own life? if i work every day to farm my own food, and build my own house, and make my own clothing, what more do i really need to do? anyway, people should be both. but only in equal parts. weather that means creating it yourself, or helping to create the means for others to.

Perhaps, but then the contrast wouldn't exist. And life isnt fun without contrasts.
