it's great to get to read what's going on in you life since i can't talk to you. i hope that you won't be gone all of spring break, or at least not at the end. i think i'm comming home on wed, and leaving on mon, some of that time will be spent in twin falls w/ my friend jenna, but some in boise too and i really hope to be able to see you.

i wish you all the luck with brian. boys are butts, but i'm really hoping to patch things up with someone. won't say here, you'll have to call me to find out ;) oh, and i have some interesting high school news to tell you too.

as for the teacher thing, don't let it bother you. being at a public school i don't think they could admit it even if they wanted to, and going to a private lutheran college it is amazing how little i hear about God.

anyway i love you and i miss you and i hope that i'll get to see you sometime. take care.

I'm sorry anonymous April 21 2005, 11:47:23 UTC
I worry, just a little bit, because dismissing someone's word on the basis of "truth" even to the greatest theological scholars is, in itself ignorant. Trusting in God is not about believing that everyone will find the light someday, but taking comfort in, that regardless of doctrine it is a peaceful, better human society everyone is striving for.

It is good to talk to you again.

God is so ambiguous anonymous September 21 2005, 20:39:49 UTC
I think Universities avoid God because God is an unknown. So many religions exist and this makes it hard to define what God is as a true metaphysical being. But as an idea, this infinite notion of "God" makes sense. Viewed from a cultural perspective, the concept of "the evolution of God" is clear. The Christian God did not always exist in the minds of Man. This "God" replaced other God(s), whether that be an animal spirit, a pharaoh, or a greek goddess. Universities acknowledge this ambiguity in God and plan their curriculum accordingly.
