^_^ People keep on saying that. I mean, the craziest part is that my mom invited herself along. This prompted a bunch of commentary. But actually I'm pretty impressed.
Only one left. Did Athens and Rome today. Nearly didn't make my flight out of Athens -- demonstrations and a transit strike. Had to hit the gallery first thing and take a cab to the airport. And now it's snowing in Rome. (First time since 1985, we are told.)
It's all been really great. I saw the sun setting behind the Arc de Triomphe, walked along Tower Bridge, booked hotels from a rooftop lounge with a view of the Acropolis. Ridden a half-dozen different metro systems in the last week, all different and fascinating. Even though I'm missing virtually everything in all these cities, it's been a fantastic trip. Have to visit all these places again, especially Paris and Athens. (I can take or leave Geneva, really.)
And I got to visit Scotland and eat haggis in its native environment.
Oh, I will. We made it through the demonstrations and transit strikes in Athens, after all -- makes me feel a little like fleeing a war zone, although it really wasn't that bad. First a couple of days in Rome, seeing the sights and acting a little Catholic. Then off to HK for the final leg.

That took it from crazy to awesome, in my opinion! Then again, I love traveling with my mom.
Power through to the end!
