So that's how you do it?

I've wondered about the Parsifal Prelude for sometime.

So basically in a quasi 8 for the first 5 bars, then hold your breath and go in a large, broad 4 in the next 14 bar section (where some people are in 4/4 and others are in 6/4) then back to the quasi 8 for 5 bars. Back to large, broad 4 for 14 bars, etc. etc. (It would be nice if my FS had ( Read more... )

i feel sad for you, that you're so lonely and bored that you have nothing better to do than troll the internet.

but someone aught to tell you...
going to an irrelevant artschool that your parents pay dearly for doesn't make you a composer
speaking italian doesn't make you an artist (and in fact, the overwhelming majority of italians shun the dying opera)
and i can only hope that when you graduate with job skills that will place you squarely behind the counter at a starbucks, perhaps you won't have the time to bother others.

Ha ha ha! Cute comments. I can't decide if it's an inside joke between the two of you or if you're serious. But in the off-chance it's actually a serious comment (and you're the joke)...

Professionals treat music professionally. That involves intensive sessions of listening, watching, score study, reading, research, and so on. The internet can be a highly valuable tool if used in a responsible way. It need not be 'trolling the internet', which is obviously what you're doing. sorta an inside joke- he's taken the time to poke through my journal and post comments that are nothing short of harassing and middle-school mean. for a "professional" he conducts himself in public very, very poorly.

1) a conservatory is not an art school. But thanks for playing.
2) I would like to see the poll data you have for the "overwhelming majority of Italians" considering that opera is alive and well in its home country far more than in America which you would know if you spent any significant time there.
3) I graduated years ago, but when I fail at my current career path and am manager at Starbucks I will be sure to think fondly of our time together.
