God is so awesome!

I've given my dating relationship totally to Him.

My youth group recently did a Bible study on dating, and i found it really helpful. We used a book called Dateable: are you? are they? and it was really cool. What you said in you entry just happened to remond me of a few things from the book. The website is www.RUdateable.com if you wanna go check it out. It's pretty cool.

I really like your image. It's awesome...okay back the point.

I heard about that book, it's about casual Christian dating. Don't take offense to this, it's not point towards you, I don't like casual dating. It's kinda stupid...you're just giving yourself up to someone that you'll regret later. For every kiss or hug or hand held you give to someone that is not your wife...you can't give that to your wife later on. I'm dating right now...and if things continue as they are going I will marry her within a few years. 2-4 probably...we're only 17 right now though, so it's a while off...but two or three years isn't that far ( ... )

no offense taken. i completely understand your point, and i know i've made the mistake of being too devoted to someone when i knew the relationship wouldn't last. i was just remembering a point in the book talking about things you would and wouldn't do physically and then making a commitment to God about those things, so i thought it was interesting when you said that in your entry. I'll pray for you and the girl you're dating. =)

Yah I didn't get the idea from that book, but I did get it from a book. It was from Boy Meets Girl. He and his fiance were lying next to each other in a hammock taking a nap and he was convicted by the Holy Spirit.

After that he made a list of what he would and would not do physically and made about 150 copies of it and handed it out to everyone involved in the wedding, the parents, the preacher, the groomsman, best man, maid of honor, even the flower girl. They all were suppossed to hold them accountable and a lot did.
