72. I have changed a diaper before (have people not?)

I can honestly say that I have never in my 20 years of life changed a diaper. Unless you count doll diapers when I was 5. haha

I've never been around babies! I'm the youngest child, my cousins are around the same age as me, and none of my friends have kids yet! So mleh!

i know this may sound weird but i dont know where else to turn..and you have been my source of inspiration since i found your lj..

i have a friend..who i am very close to..she used to come to church with me alot but she stopped...she smokes pot like..daily..she smokes ciggeretes daily...shes sexually active...but she realizes she needs God she just doesnt know how to get Him...

ive said everything i know to say to try and get her to understand..but it didnt sink in...

do you have anything at all? any verses...anything off the top of your head...and advice for me..or her...

im at a loss for words and i dont know what to do..

Hmm...

I'll try to help in the best way I can, but I mean...I don't know her. I'll give you a list of verses and things to keep in mind in a minute, but here's my real advice. PRAY. Pray hard, pray long, don't stop. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV) says to "pray without ceasing." (NIV is "pray continously) Yep. That's the whole verse. But that's all that needs to be said. If you don't know where to turn to, instead of turning to Christian friends first (which is a great place to turn, don't get me wrong) turn to God first. As for guidance and direction, for wisdom and discernment, for love and compassion...all these things are nessicary to reach your friend. Remember that you do nothing, but are simply a tool that God uses to reach your friend ( ... )

thank you SO MUCH!

i pray for her constantly...for a year and a half she has been on my prayer requests at sunday school in my heart..she said she prays every night..(prolly just somthing like..now i lay me down to sleep)...but she doesnt understand..she thinks God should accept her for who she is and she shouldnt have to change..

thank you for the verses and the advice and for the prayer!
